Quiero empezar este post con un gran THANK YOU!
La semana pasada fue un sueño hecho realidad y, sin duda, lo más enriquecedor ha sido conocer a tantos de vosotros en persona. Cuando grabo vídeos y creo contenidos, lo hago siempre con toda la ilusión del mundo, como si os tuviera delante, y aunque en mi mente ya era genial conoceros, believe me, it was even better! Sí, la realidad supera la ficción pero para bien 🙂

In Madrid at the Grant bookshop, where we improvised a Pronunciation Workshop that turned out to be wonderful. You all did a great job and totally made my day!

Tip: Fíjate que para LIBRERÍA digo BOOKSHOP y no Library. LIBRARY es un False Friend y significa BIBLIOTECA 😉

I arrived in Barcelona at the +Bernat bookshop over the moon and couldn’t wait to repeat the thrill that I experienced in Madrid. What a good start seeing my book (my «baby») in the shop window!
(Llegué a Barcelona a la librería +Bernat, encantada de la vida, y no podía esperar a volver a sentir la gran emoción que sentí en Madrid. ¡Qué gran inicio viendo mi libro (mi «bebé») en el escaparate!)
Tip: Fíjate que digo I arrived IN Barcelona y no «arrive to» (que es uno de los errores más comunes en inglés) y I arrived AT the +Bernat bookshop.
IN es para espacios más grandes: in Barcelona, in Madrid, in Majorca, in the UK…
AT es para espacios más pequeños: in the bookshop, in my office, in the living-room…
There was a lovely couple outside waiting for me to arrive who asked me to sign the book for them first because it meant a lot to them. How can you say no to that?! :-))
(Había una pareja encantadora fuera esperándome a que llegara que me pidió que firmara su libro primero porque significaba mucho para ellos. ¿¡Cómo se puede decir no a eso?! :-))
Back in Majorca…
The Ib3 programme «5 Dies» contacted me for interviewing me about «El Book de Amanda». Not only did I have a lot of fun talking about my book, but it was a pleasure to meet Marta Garau, Xisco Nadal and Victoria Maldi.

Last but not least, it was great seeing Julián Aguirre again, who has known me since I was about 19. Five minutes ago! (hahaha)

Back in Madrid… «The Iris Awards» 🙂
In spite of having been in other big events in Cannes, this was my first time at «The Iris Awards» and I was really looking forward to going. Thanks a lot to the Academy of Television Sciences and Arts for inviting me! 🙂
It being my first time at the event, I wanted to get acquainted with the space a little bit first. Everybody looked really elegant, so I’m glad I chose this dress for the occasion!
(Siendo mi primera vez, quería familiarizarme primero con el espacio un poco primero. Todo el mundo estaba muy elegante, ¡así que me alegro de haber elegido este vestido para la ocasión!)
Just before going to the photocall, I ran into «Harry Combed» 
As you already know, I really enjoy your ironic sense of humour. Very British indeed!
(Justo antes de ir al photocall, me encontré con Kike Peinado. Como ya sabes, me gusta mucho tu irónico sentido del humor. Desde luego, ¡muy británico!)
Tip: La B en «Combed» es muda, así que no se pronuncia. Se pronuncia /koumd/ (o con «schwa» para hacerlo más British: /kəumd/
Waiting for my turn at the photocall, I met Ismael Beiro (Big Brother), who was absolutely charming. Between you and me, we were talking about finishing our (real) PhDs! (hahaha). I know it’s weird to talk about that at such a moment but what can I say? I was very positively surprised! 🙂
(Esperando mi turno para el photocall, conocí a Ismael Beiro (Gran Hermano), quien fue realmente encantador. Entre tú y yo, estábamos hablando sobre terminar nuestros (reales) doctorados (jajaja). Ya sé que es raro hablar de esto en tal momento pero, ¿qué puedo decir?. ¡Me sorprendió muy positivamente! 🙂
At last, it was my turn for the photocall! As I said before, I had already done it in Cannes but not at this level in Spain. However, with this Cushnie et Ochs dress I really felt very confident! 🙂 Don’t you just love the colour? It’s a sort of light silver sky blue. I love it!)
(Al fin, ¡era mi turno para el photocall! Como dije antes, ya lo había hecho en Cannes pero no a este nivel en España. Sin embargo, ¡con mi vestido de Cushnie et Ochs me sentí muy segura! 🙂 ¿No te encanta el color? Es una especie de azul celeste claro plateado. ¡Me encanta!)
Straight after the photocall, I had the pleasure to meet the famous chef «Albert Big Boy»

After the Awards, the party began! What a good start having the honour to meet such a talented actor, Mariano Peña.
Dear Mariano, as I told you, there are many actors but, for me, you are a real actor. Thanks so much for your amazing work! 🙂

To be honest, I was on my way to the ladies’ room when I saw the light, «Light Barrier» coming in my direction! Two Majorcan gals together! Well, one of them being half «guiri» but whatever!
